Technology integration

Haikulearning

Management system Pilot:

Graded: the american school of são Paulo

2016-17 school year, the 6th grade team agreed to pilot the HaikuLearning Management System (Powerschool)

2017-18 school year, the entire middle school has adopted the system for class websites, calendar, gradebook, and assignment collection.

I took on the lead position for this initiative, having previously been familiar with launching other technology initiatives at my former schools. I offered tutorials, designed guidelines with a small committee, and currently provide daily support for fellow teachers and administration.

Washington Middle School

2013-14 school year, the humanities team wrote a grant to Amazon to receive kindles and pilot a 1:1 technology program. We served many students who did not have computer access at home and our school only had 2 computer labs & laptop carts available for all 1200 students.  This was a disservice to preparing our students in today's technology driven world.

I took on the lead position for this initiative, being a key member of the technology committee and having had previous experience working in a 1:1 laptop school at Munich International School.

I attended the EdSurge Seattle conference to further my understanding of technology resources for our school and offered technology PD/tutorials for the staff.  I designed guidelines with a small committee and provided weekly support for fellow teachers.
